This utterly gorgeous Moonstone Diamond Cluster ring had me at first glance. It’s the kind of perfect jewel that I dream of finding every time I go shopping, but rarely do.

Hand crafted in the Victorian era, around 1865, this ring features a fabulous rectangular, cushion-shaped, cabochon cut moonstone set into a halo of chunky old European, mine cut diamonds. The moonstone has a wonderful gray blue adularescence and a strong cat’s eye phenomenon, it measures 13.9x9.01x6.02 mm and weighs about 4.28 carats. The diamond surround contains 16 diamonds that add up to about 2.16 carats in total weight. The ring is crafted in 18 karat yellow gold with a touch of rose, the acanthus style design has a scallop shell motif where the band meets the under gallery. This ring is a size 7.5, it’s unmarked but has been carefully acid tested for purity, it weighs 6.4 grams.
