This wonderful and large silver pendant is one of those pieces that’s guaranteed to get you noticed. The richness of the design, the motif, the bright and glowing shell at its center. This antique pendant was crafted around 1910-1920 and is heavily influenced by the Art Nouveau, Arts and Crafts and Jugendstil movements that were flourishing in different parts of Europe. The heavily repoussed roses and curvilinear lines are a visual treat! At the center of the pendant, a perfect oval of mother of pearl is reminiscent of a mirror in a frame. The pearl is a glowing white and moves freely in its frame. This pendant measures an impressive 63.7 mm from north to south and 39.3 mm across at the widest point. It was most likely made in Germany and is marked with ‘800’ for the silver and the makers mark of FG. This wonderful pendant weighs 16.7 grams and would love to be worn on a sturdy chain, at the end of a collar or on a simple black cord.
