Mary the Victorian Dog Enamel Silver Brooch

What’s in the basket, little pooch? Could be fruit, could be toys, maybe it’s a basket of cute little puppies? This adorable dog is beautifully engraved and has a collar od bright blue enamel. The basket is engraved with the name ‘Mary’.

This wonderful little work of art was hand crafted in Birmingham, England in 1888 and is 18.4 mm not to south and 43 mm long and has the hallmarks to prove it. It’s also marked for sterling silver and has the makers mark “HC”, it weighs 4.4 grams.
