Antique Italian Aquamarine and Silver Pendant

There is a quiet poetry in this pendant, an artifact of mystery, shaped like a flower poised on the cusp of blooming. Its silver form is adorned with  scrolling details and seven pale aquamarines, each set like droplets of morning dew.  Its architectural form, a domed silver structure, is an ode to the intricate craftsmanship of the past. 

Unmarked yet masterfully made, this striking pendant measures 28.7 mm tall and 20.2 mm across, with a weight of 11.47 grams. At its base, the largest stone, a 6.8 mm aquamarine, glows with a soft, watery brilliance, resembling the heart of an unopened bud. Above it, six smaller 3.4 mm aquamarines encircle the design, lending a celestial shimmer to the piece’s organic form. This style of pendant was very popular in Italy and is likely Italian made, from around 1910-20. 

Its construction, a harmonious blend of architectural symmetry and botanical inspiration, remains as captivating today as when it was first created. A talisman of the past, waiting to bloom once more.
