This fantastic Victorian turquoise buckle ring is so fine that I felt it deserved a sonnet of its very own! A hand wrought ring of 18 karat gold that is set with 13, 1.5 mm gem-quality turquoise stones. The ring was made in Europe around 1890 and showcases a buckle motif in a ring which measures 11 mm north to south and narrows to 5.6 mm at the back of the band. This ring is marked with the makers mark of ‘GH’, the other marks are difficult to make out, it tests as 18 karat gold, is a size 9.25 and weighs 4.3 grams.
