Art Deco Platinum Ruby Eternity Band Sz 6

Rubies have understated star quality. Not too showy, not too loud, these soft and soothing stones have more of a glow than a sparkle. A rare find, indeed, this fantastic ruby eternity band is the real deal. Made in Europe in the 1930's, this hand crafted platinum ring is set with 20 pink rubies, each weighing about .10 for a total weight of 2 carats. Each stone is an old cut square cut, and they vary between slightly more square and slightly more rectangular. The stones show signs of abrasion commensurate with age and the platinum is mellowed with age.

This beautiful ring is a size 6 but it is slightly out of round from wear. The ring measures 3.3 mm north to south and sits 2.1 mm off the finger. It is unmarked but tests as platinum, weighs 3.2 grams.
