Edwardian Silver Gilt Marcasite Ornate Necklace

Shhhh…you don’t have to tell, you know that I won’t. With the glitter of diamonds and the rich buttery yellow of gold, this necklace looks as opulent and ornate as they come. Thing is… it’s not! Set with marcasites that sparkle like pricier gems, and crafted in silver that’s been gilded in gold, this necklace has the look of all that glamour without the price tag!

Each panel of this wonderful, fringy necklace is beautifully hand crafted with twisted wirework and set with sparkling marcasite gems. The largest of the panels measures 20.8 x 17.8 mm and they graduate down in size to the smallest at 16.2 x 15.7 mm. The necklace is 17 inches long and weighs 14.4 grams. This necklace is marked ‘silver’ and ‘German’, and was made in Germany around 1910.
