This magnificent Edwardian spinner fob evokes the grandeur of days past, with a design that feels both stately and bold. Two fierce lion heads flank a shield atop a stone wall, reminiscent of the iconic lions guarding the steps of the New York Public Library. Below the arched wall sits a stunning double-sided spinner, set with a smooth circle of bloodstone on one side and vibrant carnelian on the other—each side offering a different mood, yet equally timeless.
Measuring 37 mm north to south, including the bale, and 23.5 mm across, this fob has a satisfying thickness of 7.7 mm and weighs 5.4 grams. It bears full English hallmarks, including '9' and '.375' for 9 karat gold, the anchor for Birmingham, and the letter 'h' for 1907. The maker's mark 'W.O.D.' completes its story.
Perfect for wearing as a pendant, this spinner fob offers both versatility and charm, a piece that effortlessly bridges the elegance of the past with the modern desire for timeless, meaningful jewelry. A true conversation piece, it adds a touch of noble history to any collection.
