Austro-Hungarian Green Paste Silver Gilt Earrings

These super stylish beauties were hand crafted in the Austro-Hungarian style in about 1880. They are set with rich green paste gems and faux pearls, very typical of Austro jewelry of the period. They are wonderfully hand crafted so don’t be surprised when everyone mistakes them for the emeralds and gold.

These lovely jewels have plenty of movement and sway and are large enough not to be missed; they measure 61 mm from top to bottom and 19.5 mm across and weigh 7.2 grams. These earrings are not marked but have been acid tested to check the metal content as gilded silver with 9 karat gold wires.
