The year is 1915 and the Great War is upon your country. Stoically, you fear it. You fight battles with valor and you win. You confidently yet vulnerably protect the family you love. Your strong, gentle, beautiful wife gifted you this golden shield. When marching with your regiment, you glance down at your hand and remember why you are here. And even though it's against the rules, you smile.
This gold ring boasts a shield with swirled scrollwork on each end. It was handcrafted in Birmingham, England in 1915. Inside the ring are various clear hallmarks. 'E&W' representing the maker, a crown, noting England, the number '18' meaning the gold karat, an anchor, indicating Birmingham, and the letter 'q' representing the year. This ring has been professionally acid tested to ensure 18k gold. It is a size 11 and weighs 13.8 grams. The band is 6.3 mm wide, and 2.0 mm thick at the back. The face is 14 mm from north to south.
You know style when you see it and you fiercely show it off.
