Antique Silver Murrle, Bennett and Co. Long Guard Watch Chain Necklace

This wonderful chain is one of those things that is just so much better in real life than in photos. It has the most high quality feel, a velvety softness and exudes the beauty of a piece hand crafted by a master. In actually fact, this one was crafted by the masters at Murrle, Bennett and Company, a firm of great renown for their Arts and Crafts and Art Nouveau jewelry.

This wonderful chain was hand crafted by M,B & Co in about 1900. It is 55 inches long and is a true watch chain in that the jump ring is there to hold a watch or pendant, the chain does not open, both ends are attached, it can be worn in many different ways, either with or without a pendant, watch or bauble of some sort. This chain is marked ‘Silver’ and ‘MB&Co’, it weighs 16.4 grams.
