Antique Gold Sardonyx Carved Masonic Ring Intaglio
$ 990.00
The Freemasons date back to London in 1717 where the first Grand Lodge was formed. The Masons date back to the Middle ages and the reformation. And that’s all I’m going to say about it because: ‘A secret between two is a secret of God; a secret between three is everybody’s secret.’
This absolutely handsome Masonic ring is set with an oval of sardonyx which has been beautifully carved with the most recognizable of Masonic symbols, the Square and Compass. The intaglio measures 14x11.5 mm and is set into a pierced mounting of 10 karat yellow gold. This Victorian era ring was made around 1890, in the United States most likely. The ring measures 15.7 mm north to south and 22 mm across at the face, it sits 3.6 mm off the finger and narrows to 3.7 mm at the back of the band. The ring is marked ‘10k’ for the gold and is a size 9.75 US, it weighs 4.6 grams.
