Vintage Silver Turtle Brooch and Earrings Set

Have you ever been walking a woodland path when you came across a peaceful little pond? Did you stop for a moment and sit silently on the edge? If you did, you might have noticed a turtle or three sunning themselves on a log or lily pad, you might even have heard a Plop as they slid off into the water.

This charming family of turtles is made up of a larger turtle brooch and little baby turtle earrings. I don’t whether I’d wear this group or just enjoy the look of them as they sit on my dresser. Probably both!

The turtles are marked ’925’ and the hollow brooch measures 24.7x41.1x13.4 mm and weighs 5.4 grams; the earrings are 22.2 mm tip to tail and 19 mm across, and they weigh 6.9 grams together. Vintage, maybe 1960s? (Box not included).
