Have you ever asked yourself, ‘Where does Victoria come up with all of those fabulous Austro-Hungarian jewels?’. Well, then you should know that I get most of them, including this one, from my friend Emily. She saves them for me, she knows I love them. When she finds a particularly good one, like this one, she gets a bit giddy right before she shows them to me. She usually has them wrapped in something soft, like a paper towel, and she slowly unwraps them in front of me, a little grin lighting the corners of her mouth. She knew I’d be going home with this fantastic ring long before I did!
I think that this ring must have started life out as a small brooch, although it’s been marvelously converted into a stunning and unusual ring. Austro-Hungarian in origin and fully handcrafted, this stunning ring holds three rich, green cabochon cuts of malachite in wonderfully variegated tones and fourteen small faceted garnets which flash a bright red. The large ring measures 57.1 mm north to south and 28.5 mm across, it sits 15.5 mm off the finger and narrows to 3.5 mm at the back of the band. It bears no hallmarks but tests as silver and boasts a golden gilt finish. The ring is a size 9.75 and would look best on a larger hand because it’s got such impressive scale; it weighs 22.9 grams.
I offer a 3-5 payment layaway on most items purchased for full retail price, please inquire if you are interested in setting up a layaway. Items ship when payment is complete and items purchased or payments made on layaway are eligible for store credit only.
