A silver locket, an icon of the Victorian Era. It can be worn on a collar for a dressy look that rivals any diamond dribbles, it can be worn on a chain or even a black ribbon with jeans and a flip flops or over a turtle neck to great effect. It’s an essential that’s far from basic.
This wonderful locket was hand crafted in about 1880, it has panache, style that is. It was most likely made in the English jewelry center of Birmingham, but it has no marks, we’ve carefully tested it to verify that it is, indeed, sterling silver. The locket has a wonderful sunburst with geometric details repoussed in the front and a soft and smooth rounded oval back. This locket opens to reveal two frames ready to hold your personal photos. The locket measures 55 mm north to south including the bale and 33.8 mm across, it’s 11.1 mm thick and weighs 15.8 grams.
